WHAT IS THE WKND?: Every Spring we host an in-town retreat called The WKND. This weekend retreat is a time for our students to step out of the craziness of school, sports, plays, etc and give a whole 40 hours to Jesus. During the weekend students stay at host homes, worship together at the FGC Building, play late-night games, and dive deeper into what it means to follow Jesus.
WHY DO WE HOST THE WKND?: We believe that students (but really all of us) need moments of time in our year when we can press the pause button on our lives and turn to Jesus. Sometimes we just get caught up in all the stuff we have going on and forget that the best thing for us is a deep relationship with God.
WHO IS THE WKND FOR?: The WKND is for any 6th - 12th-grade student. We encourage students to invite their friends because as always we really want to create an environment where students are loved, find friendships and find community.
