KIDS MINISTRY BY AGE

FGC Kids ministry is for kids ages Birth to 6th grade. We commit to lead kids in knowing, growing and loving Jesus through all ages.

NURSERY: Birth - 3 years. We introduce the Bible through stories, and music. Our nursery team loves to hold and play with all the babies and we strive to make our nursery a fun and warm environment.

TODDLER & PRESCHOOL: Ages 2 to 5, we invite any 2 year old to join our preschool room, but leave this completely up to the parent. We would love them for to be verbal and follow some direction. Each hour we present a Bible story through The Gospel Project, our Sunday morning curriculum. The music, crafts, Bible story, and Scripture memory all point our children toward Jesus Christ.

ELEMENTARY: Kindergarten & 1st grade (9am only) and 2nd - 4th grade* meet during the 9am and the 11 gathering. During this time, the teacher communicates the day’s Bible story and how it is part of God’s big story. To reinforce the story, the children engage in fun activities for multiple learning styles. Time is also spent on Bible skills and Scripture memorization. Children are encouraged, loved and prayed for by our caring volunteers. The children come together during our large group time to learn more about the Bible Story of the day as well as worship time. *Kindergarten through 4th grade meet all together at our 11 gathering

PRETEEN: 5th & 6th Grade meet ONLY at the 9am gathering. Our preteens start their time in worship in our corporate gathering, and then head to their class where they are taught from The Gospel Project. They have small group time and have activities that support the Bible story of the day. Our preteens are giving daily readings that they can complete per unit and receive a special treat!

Your first visit

From the moment you walk through the doors, you’ll notice lots of friendly faces eager to help you out!Your first stop when you arrive is the first-time check in area. We want to serve you and your child well, so we’ll take some time to get to know you. We’ll ask about allergies, make sure we know what your child likes to be called, and collect your contact information. Then, you and your child will both get a sticker with a matching code. If for any reason we need to reach you during the gathering, we will text you. This sticker is also what you’ll use to pick-up your child after gathering.

Check-In

SAFETY

Your child’s safety is our first priority. All Flourishing Kids volunteers pass a background check. We use a security tag system for child check-in and pick-up and a code system in case we need to reach you during the worship gathering.
