Pantry Packs for Davis County Kids

  • Flourishing Grace Church 390 North 400 East Bountiful, UT, 84010 (map)

The Bountiful Food Pantry provides "Pantry Packs" for kids who are experiencing food insecurity to be able to have enough to eat on the weekend. Each Friday, they are handed a Pantry Pack that includes easy-to-prepare food so that they don't go hungry over the weekend.

The need lately for Pantry Packs has been high, and Bountiful Food Pantry estimates that they will be 18,000 packs short of being able to continue to hand out packs through the end of the school year. They have asked churches in our area if they can help. Here's how you can get involved:

Donate food and supplies for the packs

Our goal is to provide at least 200 packs. Bountiful Food Pantry has provided a very specific list for what should be included in pantry packs, so we’ve created a list to help you shop. Please use the list to sign up for what you will donate so that we don’t have too many of some items and not enough of others. Items are due by April 9th (Easter Sunday) and may be dropped off at Flourishing Grace on Sunday mornings or Monday - Thursday 9am - 4pm.

Pantry packs cost about $4 each; if you'd rather give money for a certain number of packs, you can give any amount above your normal giving to Flourishing Grace and let Benjer McVeigh know at benjer@flourishinggrace.org.

Help assemble the packs on April 15th

About 15 people are needed to help assemble the packs on Saturday, April 15th at 9am at Flourishing Grace. It should take about an hour to get all the work done, and it’s a great project to do as a family.
